Presently as of Monday morning, Jan. 16, there are approximately 750 consigned for the Quinte Stocker Sale on Friday, Jan. 20, 2017. There is a strong likelihood that our numbers may reach 850+ by sale time.
The quality of the offering will be excellent with 90%+ being calves in the 500 - 800 lb. range, most of which have been weaned for a significant time span and feed/bunk adjusted. Charolais and Angus [both Black and Red] are the largest breed influences represented in the sale. The vast majority of the cattle have been vaccinated with modified live vaccines with frequent added-value immunizations for blackleg, somnus, Pasteurella and parasite control. A large number of the producers are prepared to guarantee the heifers to be open.
