The Quebec Electronic Market

The Quebec Electronic Market reported for this week ranged from $239.50-243.00 dressed, up $2.64 from last week on average.


Alberta Direct Trade

The Alberta direct trade on Thursday quiet. Canfax reports this week: "Most of the dressed sales this week have been reported 253.00 delivered. Compared to the past couple of weeks sale volumes are shaping up rather light. Fed prices have exhausted their four week price rally as weighted average prices are looking 1.00 lower. With the fall calf run in full gear some producers were indicating they would like to sell some fed cattle to make space for new calves."

U.S. Trade (U.S. funds)

The U.S. cash cattle trade saw a light scattered trade develop yesterday with prices steady to the previous day and the week before. Live sales in the south were reported at $111.00 while the north was from $173.00-$174.00 dressed. This morning bids of $111.00 live have surfaced already in the south and Nebraska.  The south still has a good number of cattle left to sell while the north should just see some clean up deals. Asking prices are reported at $112.00-$114.00 live in the south and $176.00 plus dressed in the north.
