Stocker Sale-  All Vaccinated & Catalogued, Farm Fresh- Sponsored by Quinte Cattlemens Association.

As of noon today [Tuesday, Oct. 20] the consigned numbers for this vaccinated sale are in the 650+ range with the expectation that the offering will reach 700 + by sale time.  Presently, approximately 225 will be in the 800 lb. + weight range with most of the remaining cattle being calves in the 500 - 700 lb. range.  The vast majority of the vaccinations have been with modified live vaccines and frequently with added value immunizations for Blackleg, Pasteurella [Mannheimia] and parasite control. There is evidence of all the common breed influences in the sale offering with Char and CharX being the most prominent- especially in the 500 - 700 lb. range.  As usual, many consignors are prepared to guarantee heifers to be open and steers to be properly castrated.  A number of heavier heifer groups have been double moved as well as being guaranteed open.
