January 17, 2020 @ 11:00 am- Quinte Cattlemen's Sale- As of Saturday, Jan. 11, approximately 850 cattle have been consigned for the Jan. 17th Quinte Stocker Sale with the expectation that there will be 900 + by sale time. The vast majority of the sale offering at this time consists of calves with a weight range from 450 lb. to 7- weight. This is an all vaccinated sale with live vaccines predominant and often featuring added value immunizations for Pasteurella, Blackleg, Somnus, and parasite control. A large percentage of the calves have been weaned and most consignors are prepared to guarantee the heifers to be open. The quality of the offering overall will be excellent. The largest breed influence in the sale will be Char/CharX with a large block of Angus/AngusX [both black and red] as well. Additionally, there will be significant Simmental, Limo, and Hereford influence evident, also.
