U.S. Trade (U.S. funds)
The U.S. cash cattle trade was light yesterday with prices steady to last week, despite the increases in cattle futures and boxed beef prices. In the north trade ranged from $170.00-$173.00 dressed, mostly $173.00 while a light test in the south was at $110.00 live. Today some business could continue but it appears the market tone has been established. Asking prices are currently reported at $112.00 live in the south and $175.00 plus dressed in the north. With another round of higher cattle futures today it is possible sellers are going to sit back.
