U.S. Trade (U.S. funds)

U.S. cash cattle trade is at a complete standstill with no bids on the table and asking prices have not been released.  Little trade is expected before Wednesday at the earliest as sellers keep a close eye on the board.  AgCenter.com notes: "Tumbling markets around the world included commodities and cattle futures joined the rout. Economic concerns will play as a backdrop for each week’s trading for the foreseeable future. Very little has occurred in the current time period to damage the cattle/beef complex prices but certainly a severe recession in the future will be bad for all business. The turmoil in the futures will force trading into late week. Show lists were smaller and asking prices higher."
