The Quebec Electronic Market

The Quebec Electronic Market reported for this week sold at $230.00 dressed, down $4.88 from last week on average.


Alberta Direct Trade

The Alberta direct trade was reported by Canfax: "so far this week has seen light trade develop with dressed sales ranging from 225.00-227.00 delivered, 3.00 lower than the previous week. Competition on the cash market has been limited with one packer buying most of the cattle this week. Lift times were being reported anywhere from 2-6 weeks. Cash to futures basis levels did strengthen this week."

U.S. Trade (U.S. funds)

The U.S. cash cattle trade was at a standstill yesterday with no bids or trade reported. Business this week was spread from Monday to Wednesday with live sales in the south from $103.00-$106.50, mostly $105.00-$106.00 down $2.00-$3.00 from last week.  Trade in the north ranged from $163.00-$166.00 dressed, mostly $165.00-$166.00 down $2.50-$3.50 from last week on average.  A few clean up deals could surface today but it appears the bulk of trade for the week has been completed.
