Quinte Cattlemen's Association Stocker Sale! Vaccinated, catalogued and Farm Fresh!
As of Tuesday afternoon, May 3, consigned numbers for the May 6 sale are in the range of 700 with the full expectation that we will reach 850+ by sale time. This is a fully vaccinated sale with the weight range spanning 500 lb. to 1000 lb. The most prominent breed influence in the sale is Char/CharX though there is significant influence of other breeds - especially Angus- , as well. Vaccinations are almost completely with live vaccines, often supported by added value immunizations for Blackleg, Pasteurella, Somnus and parasite control. Most consignors are prepared to guarantee heifers to be open. There is a large group of double moved cattle and a significant percentage of the offering is comprised of large one owner farmer lots. There is a good blend of feedlot cattle and calves eligible to go on grass.
