The following resolutions were carried at the 2025 Annual General Meeting of the Beef Farmers of Ontario:
26-11 - Tax Classifications for Abattoirs
Therefore be it resolved that BFO lobby the government for some type of tax relief program for these abattoirs in order for them to remain open and provide local food within our province.
26-12 - RFID Tags
Therefore be it resolved that BFO have RFID tags be read in only.
26-13 - Carcass Condemnations
Therefore be it resolved that BFO lobby OMAFA that carcass condemnation should be black and white based on scientific testing rather than interpretation of inspectors with varying degrees of experience.
26-14 - Conservation Authority Mandate
Therefore be it resolved that BFO work with other commodity groups to have the conservation authority return their focus closer to their original mandate and allow farmers to continue to implement best management practices to continue to produce food in Ontario.
26-15 - SRM Harmonization
Therefore be it resolved that BFO and the other Provincial Beef Organizations along with CCA lobby the Minister of Health to have our standards align with all of the countries that we import beef from.
26-16 - Crown Land
Therefore be it resolved that BFO continue to make access to Crown land for the production of beef in the province of Ontario a top priority in the lobby efforts.
26-17 - Alto High-Speed Rail and Ag Land
Therefore be it resolved that BFO voice its objection to this $90 billion project.
