StrongHER in Beef is a new Beef Farmers of Ontario event designed to celebrate, empower, and connect women across all roles in Ontario’s beef industry through learning, leadership, and community.
Ontario’s beef sector is built on strong foundations, and many of those foundations are held up by women. From on-farm decision-making to veterinary clinics, feed and nutrition services, research, communications, sales, and industry support, women play an essential role in keeping the sector thriving. BFO is proud to launch StrongHER in Beef, a new event created to celebrate, empower, and connect the women who contribute to our industry every day.
Taking place March 5, 2026, in Elora, the event blends practical skills, personal development, and networking to recognize the vital contributions women make to the sector.
Topics will include:
- Building resilience on the farm and at home
- Marketing Ontario beef locally and globally
- Overview of beef sector programs
- Hands-on demonstrations
- Work–life balance for farm women
Spaces are limited, so don’t wait to save your seat! As this is our inaugural women's event, even if the event is sold out, we encourage you to register to add yourself to the waitlist. It will help us to better gauge interest, how big to make the next one, and maybe even find a few more spaces for this one!
