Quinte Cattlemen's Association Stocker Sale -
As of Wednesday morning our consigned numbers for the March 13 Quinte Stocker Sale
are approximately 350 with the expectation that they will reach 400+ by sale time. Though
our numbers are somewhat below expectations, the quality is excellent. The bulk of the
cattle range in weight from 550 - 750 lb. with a significant block at 900 lb.+. The strongest
breed influences are Char/CharX and B.Angus & B. Angus/SimmX with significant Limo
presence as well. Though this is a "vaccinations preferred" sale, all present consignments
are vaccinated. Many producers are prepared to guarantee heifers to be open and there is
a significant number of double moved cattle.
Feature One Owner Lots
[i]Approx 50 double moved steers in the 1000 lb. weight range -CharX & Xbred all guaranteed
to be properly castrated and properly live vaccinated - fed corn silage, haylage, and distillers
by TMR - bunk adjusted - will sell in large uniform ring lots -
[ii]35 double moved steers in the 900 lb. weight range -B. Angus, CharX, LimoX -all surgically
castrated and vaccinated with Pyramid 5 + Presponse on Jan. 15 - fed balage, dry hay, and
15% Vintage pellets -
[iii]30 - 40 CharX & SimmX heifers and steers [approx 50/50] in the 700 + lb. weight range -
generally - heifers are guaranteed to be open and steers have been castrated surgically -
vaccinated with Pyramid 5 + Presponse, Tasvax 8, and Ivomec in May 2025 - fed balage
and a bit of cracked corn -
