Join the Ontario Beef Youth Alliance in our fifth annual summer tour!
Beef Farmers of Ontario have been so encouraged by the enthusiasm and engagement in the Ontario Beef Youth Alliance (OBYA). We are looking forward to bringing this group together to tour the Lambton County area.
Draft Agenda:
Friday, July 17th
1:00 pm Bus to leave The Hampton Inn, Point Edward
1:30 pm Farm Tour 1 - commercial cow-calf operation
3:00 pm Farm Tour 2 - cow-calf to finish operation with an on-farm butcher and farm store
6:00 pm Farm Tour 3 - cow-calf operation and custom feedlot
7:00 pm Dinner on-farm followed by guest speakers and evening hospitality
10:00 pm Arrive back at The Hampton Inn, Point Edward
Saturday, July 18th
Breakfast at the hotel
9:00 am Depart hotel in own vehicles
9:15 am Farm Tour 4 - Commercial cow-calf to finish operation with direct marketing business
11:00 am Farm Tour 5 - New Community Pasture site tour
12:00 pm Lunch at brewery in Sarnia
1:30 pm Farm Tour 6 - Ontario Corn Fed Beef Feedlot operation
Please note: For the safety and security of our tour hosts, we have omitted names and location details from the agenda above. The complete agenda, including addresses for tour stops will be provided after registration.
Full registration covers the cost of the bus, the overnight hotel accommodation, and all meals.
Slip on boot covers or boot wash will be provided at each farm for biosecurity reasons.
