New 4-H Ontario Education Scholarships Announced

Application Deadline: October 1, 2026 | Scholarships will be given out by November 1 of each year

Beef Farmers of Ontario (BFO) is an advocate and unified voice for the province’s 19,000 beef farmers, representing all sectors of the industry. Recognizing that supporting youth is essential to the continued strength, sustainability and innovation of Ontario’s agriculture sector, BFO is committed to engaging, supporting and encouraging the next generation of beef farmers and agricultural leaders.

To advance this commitment, BFO will award three annual scholarships of $2,000 each to 4-H beef club participants who intend to pursue post-secondary education in agriculture. By investing in education and leadership development, these scholarships will help young people build the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to contribute to the future of Ontario’s beef sector and rural communities.

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
  • 4-H participants who have a minimum of five years of experience in a 4-H beef club.
  • Applicants must be a 4-H participant in good standing.
  • Applicants must be interested in pursuing a career in agriculture.
  • Provide a 500-word essay about their career plans and how it aligns with ensuring a sustainable beef industry for the future.
  • Proof of Post-Secondary Enrollment: Please upload proof of enrollment at a recognized post-secondary institution.
